Waste Disposal & Recycling

Licensed, documented, and diverted from landfill

Waste Disposal & Recycling

Anyone can put waste in a van. Disposing of it properly — segregated, at licensed facilities, with the paperwork to prove it — is the part that protects you. Jettison are SEPA registered waste carriers with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accreditation, and we treat the disposal end of the job as seriously as the lifting.

  • SEPA registered waste carrier
  • ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accredited
  • Waste segregated at source wherever practical
  • WEEE and electrical items handled compliantly
  • Waste transfer documentation provided for commercial collections
  • Reusable items routed to charity partners first

Your duty of care

Under Scottish waste legislation, the business that produces waste stays responsible for it — even after someone else drives it away. If your carrier fly-tips it, the trail leads back to you. Using a registered carrier who can produce a waste transfer note for every collection is the simplest way to close that risk off.

How we segregate

Loads are separated into the streams that can actually be recycled: metals, timber, plasterboard, cardboard and packaging, WEEE and electricals, and general residual waste. Segregating on site rather than at the tip is what makes high diversion rates possible.

Reuse before recycling

Recycling is good; reuse is better. Serviceable furniture, white goods and office equipment are offered to charity partners and second-hand outlets before anything is broken down for materials.

Reporting for commercial clients

For contract and repeat clients we can report on what was collected and where it went — useful for ESG reporting, tender submissions and environmental management systems.
